1. Who we are

Smart Invite (smartinvite.app) is a digital invitation and event-announcement platform designed for users in Cambodia and the broader Southeast Asian region. We help hosts create, share, and manage event invitations and public announcements.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Account information — name, email address, and profile photo when you sign up or sign in via Google, Facebook, or Telegram.
• Event data — event titles, dates, venues, guest lists, and invitation content that you enter.
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, and basic analytics to improve the service. We do not use third-party ad-tracking.
• Facebook Page data — if you connect a Facebook Page, we store only the Page ID and a Page access token so we can publish announcement posts on your behalf. We do not read your personal Facebook timeline or messages.

3. How we use your information

• To create and display your events and invitations.
• To publish announcement posts to Facebook Pages you administer, when you explicitly request it.
• To send event notifications and reminders via email or Telegram, when you enable those features.
• To improve and secure the platform.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Facebook data

When you connect a Facebook Page to Smart Invite, we use the following Facebook permissions:

• pages_manage_posts — to publish event-announcement posts to your Page and remove them when you cancel an event.
• pages_read_engagement — to display reactions and comment counts on posts we created, so you can see how your event is performing.
• pages_show_list — to let you choose which of your Pages to post to.

We only post to Pages you own and only when you initiate the action. We never post automatically without your instruction.

Facebook data obtained through these permissions is used solely to provide the Page-posting feature and is not shared with any third party.

5. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on secure servers. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel only.

6. Data retention

We retain your account and event data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time — see our Data Deletion page.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies only — for session authentication and language preference. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us or use the account deletion feature in your profile settings.

9. Children's privacy

Smart Invite is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Continued use of Smart Invite after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
